Teenagers

Earlier today me and the family were out walking when a car came screeching to a halt in a lay-by in front of us, full of teenagers. Another one squeezed them self in. Then I had a thought. A thought that made me feel old. But I said it out loud never the less

Odd socks

This past month has seen about a 75% increase in odd socks in my house for some reason. I now have a pile of about 30. I didn't even know we had that many pairs of socks in the first place

Well, I was thinking about it (like you do when your a stay at home mum) and I have an odd sock theory...

First day at pre school

So, it's been a couple of weeks since Older Boys first day. He's had a few ups and downs about going but now he's asking to go at the weekend so I think he likes it.

So, first day. I left him and he ran off to play

But soon it was time to pick him up and he'd had a great day. He told me all about it in order of importance to him

I will come back to the trouser changing*

I think it was a good first day!!


*After an inspection of trousers and asking questions I found out he had sat in someone else's wee and not noticed and not wet himself, which is what he first told me. ( And I am totally undecided if that is better or worse?!?)

Grandad

I was asked NOT to relay this story, but it's funny, and most of you don't know my family (and it's only because Grandad is embarrassed) so it's fine!!

changing nappy

Long story short... Younger boy has been a late developer.

I thought we were off yo a good start at 3 months he rolled over

Then nothing until 7 months when he sat up

Nothing again until 9 months when he could bear weight

Then he did nothing until recently. And at 13 months he could roll, pull up and walk

So now when I try and change nappy

So I pin down

So the second we are done 

Batman

Older boy got a Batman toy from Santa. He does loves superheroes but most toys are aimed at big kids but this particular range is aimed at toddlers. He was very excited and decided to ask super nerd Daddy to tell him all about it

The conversation went like this

kids Christmas party

**WARNING** this is not suitable for children


So (setting the scene), I took the boys to a kids Christmas party. The eldest child there was 6. We were playing party games before Santa came. The game I'm going to talk about is pass the parcel

As we all know, pass the parcel is an innocent game. The music plays-you pass the parcel around, when the music stops the person it lands on opens the parcel

Totally innocent until the parcel is wrapped in newspaper, well The Sun to be exact...

The music stops on Older boy. He eagerly opens the first layer, I help as he's not quite perfected his taking off one layer skills when the next layer reviles

Yes..page 3 of The Sun was the second layer of the pass the parcel wrapping.


NB. I took off another layer before letting the next child have it.
